"Ewan," he replied, he lied.
He had known most if not the full extent of what was transpiring in those moments. A bitter rebellion, a coercion. He had deciphered the scribbles on the wall. What once was but a mere game to him turned into a war of hearts. And minds.
"Ewan," he said, sincerely.
His own bitterness overshadowed by the fray, the occurrence, dissipated. He knew it would expose itself in the eventuality. He knew this inevitability can not be prevented. Nothing would conflagrate the looming, consuming force.
"Ewan!" he said, with conviction.
He braced himself for the tomorrow.
